29 Mar

The post I had promised for Thursday has been postponed until I’m feeling better. The flu has hit the parental units of the Army and neither of us is feeling up to much more than laying on the couch and blinking at each other.

I thank you in advance for your patience.

Blog FAIL!

23 Mar

Wow I can’t believe the superior amount of failure that I’ve exhibited on this blog lately. I’d love to tell you that the reason for no updates is that my life has been so full and exciting and busy…but that’s just not the case.

There’s been nothing worth blogging about.

Really. It’s been horribly boring here. I didn’t want to come here and bore you all with my whining about lack of sleep, headaches, sinus troubles and backaches. I’ve been sticking pretty close to home because until this past week our weather has been wretched and going outside is the bottom of my priority list.

Last week the weather took did a full 180…it’s SPRING here in Central Newfoundland now! Snow is melting at a crazy rate, the sun is shining, the temperatures are climbing and green grass is starting to sprout. I’ve been living for this ever since the first snowfall. I am NOT a winter person.

I did manage to get the boys out to get haircuts. Allow me to show you before and after.

My little sheepdogs trying to stop Daddy from going to work.

Yeah, yeah I know. It was pretty bad.

What is UP with those expressions?!

Much much better! Who knew they had eyes under all that hair?!

We also bought a couple of things for the little Bumblebee that is still as of yet gender-unknown to us. I feel awful that I haven’t done more, but it’s so hard to shop for a baby whose sex is a mystery. The selection of gender-neutral stuff in this town is terrible. So this is what we’ve come up with so far.

We LOVE to read at this house.

“Guess How Much I Love You?” is a book that we’re already reading to the baby. I’m sure Bumblebee knows already how much we and his or her brothers love them.

Daddy chose this one

I sure hope that (s)he inherits Daddy’s artistic talent instead of Mommy’s if this is the case. Mommy’s only artistic forté is drawing stick people in compromising situations. (Long story. Maybe I’ll tell you someday, but don’t hold your breath.)

My next purchase for this baby is a Guns N Roses onesie, I swear. Gotta start them early!

Look for a post on Thursday, March 25. We finally get an ultrasound and I’m sure I’ll be full of blog-ness on that day! Maybe I’ll even reveal my secret project!
