Sickies

19 Oct

Hayden has a reddened eardrum that could possibly be an infection. We have a prescription for antibiotics with strict instructions to fill it at the first complaint of pain.

Silas has a cough and congestion that may be pneumonia. He’s also on strict observation by Johnny and I who have strict orders to bring him back if he doesn’t improve in the next couple of days. It’s the first time he’s ever been sick in his life.

This week is the epitomy of suck.

Oh no! That sounds awful! Poor things. But… ear infections and pneumonia, eh? None of this sissy flu stuff! Go big or go home!

    Good luck!

    HAHAHA Tracy. Perfect comment!!

Having sick kids sucks. (say that 10 times fast). It’s amazing what doctors will tell mothers to do, too. “You have to get this boy to lay in bed for the next 5 days, bath him every 5 hours, give him this foul tasting medicine on an empty stomach, and feed him only liquids. He will need quiet, so try to keep the other 4 kids in the house quiet.”

And, somehow, miraculously, Moms pull it off. Especially supermoms like you!

    My thoughts are with you!

If they’re up and running around, a good trick is to take their temperature – but tell them the thermometer needs three hours to register. šŸ˜€

Oh, Lord. Do I sympathize with you. I only had one sick baby and I thought I was going to die! Hang in there!
